Introduction
WS Light is a short to medium-length waterproof and breathable fishing jacket.
Excellent for wading.
The family of WS jackets consists of 3 different short/medium length jackets.
As the name suggests, each with their own specific user in mind.

Our design priority with WS Light is to limit weight without compromising the service life, waterproofness and functionality.
The Taslan polyamide shell fabric is same we have been used for more than 20 years. The outer fabric is coated with our System Fabric membrane making it 100% Guaranteed waterproof and breathable.
So how did it get lighter:
Firstly by using a much lighter fabric on places where the heavier exterior is not essential. Places like: Pockets, hood and collar.
Secondly by limiting the use of pleats and ”layer upon layer”.
Without compromising waterproofness and durability WS Light weighs 20% less than the two other short jacket family members.
In order to balance expectations we feel it is also important to mention the compromise that comes with lightness. It can be limited to one thing:
The pocket design. WS Light is not the perfect match if you are insisting on huge layers of storage. To get the most out of lightness - you need to adjust with a similarly light and suitable content.
These are the thoughts - a word from the designer:
Above all, WS Light feels light and hardly restricts my freedom of movement.
It’s the closest I get to the lightness I normally only experience with a light rain jacket.
In order to stay light and utilize the jacket’s full potential, I have adapt with the Geoff Anderson WizTool magnets and tools as well as a narrow and proportioned storage. By adapting the content I am not only limiting weight but also improving the overall functionality.
WS Light has a balanced weight versus performance we haven’t achieved before.
Popularly speaking, WS Light is a “bulldozer in disguise”.
I never consider the weather nor the physical challenge ahead. That’s the beauty of a lighter shell that has all the qualities of the “old heavier gear”.
In pursuit of improving our environmental impact, I have had a particular focus on four “design-list-priorities”:

WS Pro is a wading jacket developed especially for coast angling - where you need an outstanding gear - but also for other fishing forms, where you are angling in waders.
Our WS Light is naturally 100% waterproof and breathable fabric ensures that you stay dry and comfortable - even in heavy rain and strong wind.
WS Light has 100% saltwater resistant design, which includes the newest generation YKK® AquaGuard® zippers.

WS Light is a strong and long lasting jacket and the choice of materials will make sure it will outlive most other light jackets.
We believe that a long product life is the best we can do for the environment - and you can help us by following care instructions for your jacket.
All loose parts are Oeko Tex certificated and have the highest quality to achieve the highest possible durability.
As part of the overall design, we have prepared that repairs can be made easy and in many cases also locally.
When the jacket’s service life ends, we have an “after-life plan” ready. New life solution. We want to do our best so that the jacket ends not in the trash, but all the parts of the jacket which can be reused will be reused.
Functionalities:

1. Large expandable back pocket
Easy to access and close with one hand.
Watertight if zipped securely and not submerged. Due to the low position of drains we do not recommend considering the pocket as waterproof storage.
2. Elasticated bottle pocket
Fix your bottle. Great feature when walking and moving around.
3. Napoleon pocket
Placed high between the center front overfold and the lining. Waterproof pocket lining. Probably the most waterproof of the pockets. Waterproof means that this pocket does not drain - this also applies to possible condensation. Therefore store e.g. electronics in suitable cases.
4. Elasticated inner pocket
Ideal for storing your hood or the like. Open top. Expandable.
5. & 6 Front pockets (Zipped)
Easy to access. Expandable. Effectively repels rain, snow and wave splashes. Watertight if not submerged* and zipped securely. Drains quickly.
Opens vertically and your tackle box can easily be placed with one hand.
7. & 8 Front incline pockets (Zipped)
Depending on preference, you can access this pocket from the top or the side.
The design suggests that you use the top access preparatory to organizing tools, magnets leaders and the like. The pocket is hereafter accessed from the side while fishing.
The top of the pocket is equipped with buttons for one important reason - they can easily be repaired/replaced. Also buttons are offering the most secure “lock” on a pocket that are not necessarily opened and closed often.
If you place our WizTool magnet in the specially designed holder, it will be strong enough to “catch” and attach your WizTool tool through the fabric both inside and outside this pocket.
This externally placed pocket type is loved by many as a hand warmer/rest.
We have optimized the pocket’s ability to repel rain, waves, etc. as much as possible, but this pocket’s functions are not compatible with a high degree of waterproofing. Drains quickly.
9 & 10. Narrow built in pockets
Flat, elasticated pocket placed inside pocket 7 & 8.
Can be accessed from both the top and the side.
Can either hold your WizTool in place og used for leaders, hooks and other accessories.

Hood:

The elasticated adjust system allows you to personalize the fit to exactly your head even if you wear your favorite cap.
The hood can easily be stored away if needed.
Lining:
The new lining construction is more open thanks to the fabric mapping. Compared to previous versions, you will experience significantly improved breathability. The wicking lining make sure you benefit from that extra comfort during high activity. The liner also protects the membrane from dirt and wear and tear.
Cuff:
The wrist/cuff is lined with a thin layer of rubber.
Hypalon closure with molded and patented Velcro®.
Fit:
WS Light is optimized and adjusted for casting. Sleeve lining enhances freedom of movement for all types of casting movements.
High waist cut for sea, coast and boat anglers.
Articulated sleeve and elbow construction.

Material/fabric:
The System Fabric - Guaranteed waterproof, breathable and durable.
In addition to heavy use in saltwater environments, The System Fabric is also machine washable, which is unique for this type of jacket.
Before first use we recommend that you add a ”spray on product” like Grangers performance + Repel spray.
Maintain the water and dirt repellent effect by repeating the application of this product after cleaning, exposure to saltwater or heavy rain.
Environment:
WS Light is a strong and long lasting jacket and the choice of materials will make sure it will outlive most other jackets.
Durability is the most sensible when it comes to limiting the climate impact.

Maintenance:
Smell:
Machine wash using our recommended soap*. While damp, spray it with our recommended DWR spray*.
Black spots/staining:
Is a sign of mold/fungus. Occurs if stored damp and dirty. Solution: Scrub it lightly with a soft cloth using a mix of vinegar and lukewarm water.
White deposits:
Is a sign that salt is deposited in the fabric.
Solution: Submerge in 30 degrees water for 2 hours.
While damp spray it with our recommended DWR spray*
General maintenance:
Always submerge in lukewarm fresh water - after use in saltwater. Always hang dry!
Machine wash only when absolutely necessary.
Continuous rinsing/submerge in fresh water combined with a light scrub - using a damp cloth. Treat/spray with our recommended DWR spray*, at regular intervals.
Be very careful using “wash in products” - not recommended by us, as they can be solvent and dissolve the Membrane over time. *Info about recommended spray & washing
